The Hunt for Materials

Each week, I wander through the streets of Marrakech to find the perfect materials. I visit local butchers and small shops that sell traditional Moroccan goatskin, soft, strong, and full of character. I handpick each piece of leather, one by one, based on feel, texture, and natural imperfections that give it a unique look.

I also spend time searching for stones and decorative details to finish the products. Sometimes I find beautiful elements in small stalls or tucked-away corners of the market. I’m always looking for something special, no mass production, no shortcuts. Just honest materials with a story.

From Cut to Design

Once I have everything I need, I begin by cutting the leather by hand. Each cut is intentional, shaped to match the function of the item I’m about to create, a phone case, a wallet, or an earbuds cover. This is where the transformation begins.

Before I stitch anything, I take time to draw the design. Sometimes the ideas come right away, other times I let myself be inspired by the shape of the leather or the stones I’ve found. I sketch, adjust, and sketch again, this creative part often takes the longest, but it’s where the personality of each piece is born.

Handmade, Stitch by Stitch

When the design feels right, I punch the stitching holes one by one, completely by hand. Then, I begin the slow and careful process of sewing. I don’t use machines,  just needle, thread, and time. Each stitch is done with attention, and every product takes hours to complete.

Once it’s stitched together, I add the finishing touches: polishing the edges, adding stones or small symbols, and checking every detail. Only when I’m fully satisfied do I consider a piece finished.
It’s a process of patience, creativity, and love and that’s exactly what makes each item one of a kind.
